Wooden Sculpture. This wood was carved by a 90 year old women in Mexico that I met on an art tour. I bought 6 large roosters from her, shipped them to my studio in Corvallis, Oregon and hand painted in acrylic with finish. Roosters are widely considered “good luck” and particularly popular in kitchens, homes and Churches. They are deeply rooted in Portuguese tradition as the “Galo de Barcelos” and in Feng Shui to boost reputation. Common house warming and wedding gifts.
